A NSW man is overflowing with emotions after discovering his $1 million win in the recent Saturday Lotto draw. The win, a result of over 50 years of playing, has left him speechless and eager to share his good fortune.
The Binya resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473, drawn Saturday 1 June 2024 and pocketed a total prize of $1,048,013.90.
The awestruck winner checked his ticket on Sunday morning and hadn’t stopped shaking ever since.
“Thank you very much!” he cheered.
“I’ve waited my whole life for this winning call. No, seriously I’ve been playing for over 50 years.
“I have to sit down. I can’t stop shaking.
“Thank you to everyone at The Lott. I love you all so much!
“I’m over the moon. This is going to help so many people.
“My family, my friends, my relatives. I’ll be able to help them all.
“I checked my ticket Sunday morning, and I haven’t been able to do anything. I've just been shaking and waiting for your call. I’m so glad I have my supportive family here to help me.
“I realised I had won division one, but I wasn’t sure how much.
“Once I won $700. That was exciting at the time, but now nothing compared to this!
“Thank you so much. My children will also benefit so much from this. It’s truly amazing. It’s the biggest news I’ve ever received.
“Oh gosh. I can’t get up. I think I’ll faint!”
The 25-game QuickPick was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 on 1 June 2024 were 22, 42, 39, 28, 5 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 29.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4473 – two in New South Wales, one each in Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.
