Man Charged After 42 Fake Guns Seized in Rowville

Police have charged a man after seizing 42 imitation firearms and other weapons from a Rowville property yesterday.

Officers conducted a search of the property on Goulburn Drive about 5.30pm on 4 December.

It is alleged officers located: 42 high quality imitation firearms (assault rifles, rifles, handguns and shotguns), 13 machetes, three daggers, one baton, a knuckle duster, two slingshots, two imitation hand grenades and a small amount of cannabis.

A 55-year-old Rowville man was arrested at the scene.

He has been charged with weapon offences, possess firearms, possess imitation firearms, and possess drugs of dependence.

He was bailed to Ringwood Magistrates' Court on 14 March 2025.
