A man has been charged following a brawl at a children's rugby league game in Sydney's west last year.
About 9:45am on Saturday (7 September 2024), police were called to a sporting field on Swallow Drive, Erskine Park, following reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were told spectators were involved in an argument which then allegedly escalated into a fight. All left before police arrived.
Following inquiries, and with the assistance of local game administrators, a 23-year-old man was arrested when he attended Penrith Police Station earlier today (Sunday 5 January 2025); he has now been charged with affray.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 18 February 2025.
