A man will appear in court today after allegedly breaking into a home and lighting a fire in the Southern Tablelands yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 12.45am (Saturday 30 June 2018), a man, armed with a knife, allegedly forced entry to a home on Caoura Road, Tallong, about 40klms east of Goulburn, and threatened the occupant, a 48-year-old woman.

The garage was destroyed as a result of the fire. The woman was not physically injured.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated break and enter, malicious damage by fire and malicious damage.
The man was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today (Sunday 1 July 2018).
