A man will face court today after being charged with alleged firearms offences in the state's Central Tablelands.
About 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 December 2024), officers attached to Chifley Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Inch Street, Lithgow.
During the search, officers allegedly located and seized multiple prohibited firearms, ammunition and a slingshot.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at the location and taken to Lithgow Police Station, and charged with;
- Two counts of possess unauthorised firearm,
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit,
- Unauthorised person fail to surrender firearm, and
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.
He was refused bail to appear before Lithgow Local Court today (Wednesday 11 December 2024).
