Man Charged After Forbes Home Searches by FPO

A man will face court later this month following a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) search of two homes last week in the state's Central West.

About 3.20pm on Friday (6 September 2024), officers attached to Central West Police District conducted a FPO search of two homes on Calarie Road and Woods Street, Forbes.

During the searches officers located and seized methylamphetamine, two rifle bolts, and two rifle magazines.

A short time later police attended a business in Forbes and searched a 45-year-old man's car and seized crystalised substance believed to be methylamphetamine.

He was arrested and taken to Forbes Police Station.

The man was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug, and firearm found at premises-subject to prohibition order.

He was given conditional bail to appear at Forbes Local Court on Tuesday 17 September 2024.
