A man has been charged with an alleged pursuit on the Central Coast yesterday.
About 1.20pm on Friday (3 January 2025), officers attached to Police Transport Command were patrolling Mann Street, Gosford, when they attempted to stop a person riding a motorcycle without a number plate.
When the rider failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit, with the assistance of PolAir, continued to the intersection of Central Coast Highway and Brisbane Water Drive, West Gosford.
A short time later, the pursuit was terminated when the rider fell from the motorcycle and allegedly ran from the scene.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man on the Central Coast Highway, West Gosford.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly, use registrable vehicle not display authorised number-plate, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, and not give particulars to other driver.
The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (4 January 2025).
