Man Charged After Killarney Vale Search Warrant

A man will face court today (Friday 16 August 2024) charged with damaging property by fire in Glenning Valley.

On Tuesday 23 July 2024, emergency services were called to Ashwood Close, Glenning Valley, following reports of a vehicle alight. Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze.

The car suffered significant damage to its front, and no one was injured.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

During investigations, police located an incendiary device underneath the vehicle which was seized for forensic analysis.

About 8am today (Friday 16 August 2024), police from the Proactive Crime Team Tuggerah Lakes executed a search warrant at a home on Oxley Road, Killarney Vale.

At 9am, a 24-year-old man was arrested at The Entrance Police Station.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with:

  • One count of Damage property by fire/?exp greater than $15000
  • One count of Supply prohibited drug not less than commercial quantity
  • One count of breach bail

He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court today (Friday 16 August 2024).
