Man Charged After Peak Hill Club Incident

A man will appear in court after allegedly pouring petrol on a man and woman at a club in the state's central west.

About 5:40pm yesterday (Sunday 6 October 2024), police were called to a club on Caswell Street, Peak Hill, following reports of an incident.

Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and were told a man had entered the club and allegedly poured petrol on the floor and over a man, aged 55, and a woman, aged 50.

The man and woman were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics, and didn't require treatment. The club was evacuated as a precaution.

The 28-year-old man was chased from the club and arrested a short time later on Mingelo Street.

He was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, possess explosive with intention to destroy others property, throw/lay down explosive with intent to maim/do grievous bodily harm, excluded person fail to leave premises when required, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm and destroy or damage property.

He appeared before Dubbo Local Court today (Monday 7 October 2024),and was refused bail to appear before Parkes Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 8 October 2024).
