Man Charged After Seaford Stolen Goods Seizure

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after allegedly uncovering a virtual Aladdin's Cave of stolen goods behind a secret door in Seaford.

A search warrant was executed at a business premises on Austin Road just after 7pm on 10 March where police allegedly found a hidden door behind a row of lockers.

Investigators allege that a large quantity of cigarettes, tobacco, vapes and drugs, estimated to be worth millions of dollars, were located at the addresses along with two firearms and multiple prohibited weapons.

Detectives arrested a man in Dandenong yesterday afternoon.

The 53-year-old Seaford man was charged with possess handgun, traffick methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, traffick cannabis, possess cannabis, handle stolen goods and two counts of possess prohibited weapon, allegedly pertaining to a taser and an extendable baton.

The man was bailed to appear before Frankston Magistrates' Court on 14 April.
