About 7:15pm on Tuesday 25 March 2025, a 17-year-old female teenager was sitting with her dog in the rear passenger seat of a Nissan Altima Sedan, parked on Boas Avenue in Joondalup.
It will be alleged the accused got into the driver's seat and drove away towards Shenton Avenue on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle continued for about 200m before the victim managed to jump out of the car with her dog. The 36-year-old man allegedly did not stop and drove away in the stolen vehicle.
The 36-year-old Clarkson man was charged with:
• Robbery;
• Deprivation of Liberty;
• Reckless Driving; and
• No Authority to Drive.
He appeared before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody to next appear on 2 April 2025.
