A 26-year-old man from Clarendon Vale has been charged with destroying property in relation to damage caused to Clarence Plains Police Station in April.
Police will allege the man reversed a vehicle into the front doors of the unoccupied police station multiple times on 8 April 2023, causing approximately $12,000 damage.
The man was disqualified from driving at the time of the incident.
He was arrested yesterday, after Bellerive CIB and southern uniform police executed a search warrant at a property in Clarendon Vale and located multiple items of stolen property.
It will further be alleged the man used a vehicle to damage multiple speed detection trailers in October and November, whilst disqualified from driving.
The man was charged with property, driving and fraud offences and has been detained in custody to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this morning.
