Man Charged for Menacing via Carriage Service

Detectives from the Counter-Terrorism Investigation Group (CTIG) have charged a Queensland man following investigations into threats made towards a Jewish community centre in Victoria.

It will be alleged the man made verbal threats in a social media post on Saturday, December 8.

Following investigations, Queensland Police located a 52-year-old Holland Park man in the Yarraman State Forrest on Saturday night where he was arrested, and mobile phone seized.

Initial investigations indicate the man was not involved with the arson of a Synagogue in Victoria on December 6.

He has been charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence and is due before Nanango Magistrates Court on January 16, 2025.

Investigations are ongoing.
