Fourteen years after the offence, and utilising advances in forensic technology, Detectives from Cold Case Investigations charged a 32-year-old man with five offences in relation to an armed robbery incident that occurred at a home in Withers on Sunday, 11 December 2011.
It will be alleged about 2pm the man gained entry to the home where confronted two female occupants. It will be further alleged the man assaulted both women, who sustained lacerations and bruising.
The man fled the home with various items he stole.
The 32-year-old man from Collie has been charged with:
• Two counts of Aggravated Armed Robbery;
• One count of Aggravated Burglary and Commit Offence in Dwelling;
• One count of Aggravated Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm; and
• One count of Stealing.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 14 February 2025.
