Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged a Kingscliff man following an investigation into alleged child abuse material under Strike Force Glandore.
Strike Force Glandore was established by State Crime Command's Sex Crimes Squad to investigate the alleged access and dissemination of child abuse material.
Following extensive inquiries, about 8am yesterday (Tuesday 4 July 2023), strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Kingscliff where they arrested a 30-year-old man.
During a search of the address, police located three mobile phones which were seized for further forensic examination.
The man was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with use carriage service to access child abuse material and possess child abuse material.
He was bail refused to appear at Tweed Local Court yesterday, where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Monday 4 September 2023.
