A man will face court charged over alleged historical sexual assault offences in Sydney's south.
In May 2023, detectives attached to St George Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of alleged sexual assaults occurring between 1984 and 1986.
Police will allege in court that in 1984, a boy then aged 6, was sexually assaulted by a man – then aged 50 - who was known to him - at an address in Hurstville.
Police will also allege that the same boy was again assaulted by the man in 1986, when he was 9 years old.
Following extensive inquiries, about 4.20pm on Saturday 15 February 2025, detectives attended a premises on Stonelea Circuit, Dural, where they issued a 90-year-old man a court attendance notice for sexual assault – person under 16 years of age.
He will appear before Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 1 April 2025.
