Man Charged in Lake Munmorah Domestic Violence Case

A man will appear in court today charged with serious domestic violence offences in the state's Hunter region.

On Thursday 29 August 2024, officers attached to the Hunter High Risk Domestic Violence Offender Team - with assistance from Lake Macquarie Police District - commenced inquiries to locate a 57-year-old man following reports of alleged domestic violence offences.

Following extensive inquiries, police arrested the man at a service station on the Pacific Highway, Lake Munmorah, about 7.25am today (Thursday 12 September 2024).

He was taken to Wyong Police Station and was charged with three counts contravene prohibition / restriction in AVO, three counts stalk / intimidate intend fear physical harm, two counts possess prohibited drug and use carriage service to menace / harass / offend.

He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court today (Thursday 12 September 2024).
