Man Charged in Launceston Burglary Spree

A Launceston man has been charged over a range of burglary-related matters after officers from Northern CIB recovered approximately $20,000 worth of stolen property.

The 29-year-old man was arrested on 4 December 2024, following a search at his residence.

During the search, police located a significant quantity of stolen electrical equipment and power tools.

The man was charged with multiple offences including 15 counts of burglary, and 16 counts of stealing.

Police allege the man targeted motor vehicles, sheds, and containers in and around the greater Launceston area.

He is due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court in January.
