Man Charged in Little Bay Break-In by Eastern Police

Eastern Beaches police have charged a man following an investigation into a Little Bay break and enter and car theft today.

About 3am (Sunday 20 October 2024), police were called to a home on Harvey Street, Little Bay, following reports of a break and enter.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command arrived and were told an unknown person had broken into the home and had stolen personal items and an Audi SUV.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police located the allegedly stolen SUV at a service station on Anzac Parade, Kensington, about 3.30am.

Police arrested the driver, a 24-year-old man, at the scene before taking him to Maroubra Police Station.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, dishonesty obtain financial advantage by deception and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today where he was further refused bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 12 December 2024.

Police will allege in court that prior to the arrest the man had purchased goods at the service station using items stolen from the Little Bay home.
