State Crime Command detectives have charged a man over his alleged role in a conspiracy to murder six men on two separate occasions.
In November 2019, officers attached to State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Newnham to investigate the members and associates of two high-profile Organised Criminal Networks (OCNs) and their alleged activities across Sydney.
As part of ongoing investigations into an alleged carjacking and conspiracy to murder a man in North Sydney in 2021, three men have been charged and two warrants have been issued for men overseas. A sixth 29-year-old man was identified as allegedly being involved.
Simultaneously, detectives attached to Organised Crime Squad's Strike Force Tromperie investigating the alleged conspiracy to murder five high-profile men identified a 29-year-old alleged involved. Three men have already been charged and remain before the courts.
Following extensive inquiries under both strike forces, together detectives attended a Parklea correctional facility today (Tuesday 3 December 2024), where they arrested a 29-year-old man.
The man was charged with six courts of conspire and agree to murder any person and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
The man was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 4 December 2024).
