Man Charged in Port Stephens Drug Supply Bust

A man will face court today charged following an investigation into the commercial supply of illicit drugs in Port Stephens.

About 11am yesterday (Wednesday 14 August 2024), police from the Hunter Region Enforcement Squad - assisted by Port Stephens-Hunter Police District – attended a property on Wirreanda Road, Medowie, as part of inquiries into an ongoing drug supply investigation.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.

There he was charged with 22 offences:

  • Ten counts of supply prohibited drug (greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity),
  • Six counts of supply prohibited drug (greater than or equal to commercial quantity),
  • Three counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period,
  • Supply prohibited drug (greater than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity),
  • Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis,
  • Deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court today (Thursday 15 August 2024).

Inquiries into the supply of illicit drugs in Port Stephens continue.
