Man Charged in Serious Assault: Strike Force Charlton

A man will face court today (Wednesday 4 September 2024) following an alleged assault in Sydney's west.

Around 6pm on Saturday 31 August 2024, police were called to a premises in Mannix Parade, Warwick Farm following reports of an assault.

On arrival, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command found a 57-year-old man with serious injuries to his hand.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Fairfield Hospital in a stable condition.

At 1:30pm on Tuesday (3 September 2024) a 41-year-old man attended Liverpool Police Station and was arrested.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possess shortened firearm (not pistol) and acquire prohibited firearm-subject prohibition order.

He was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today, Wednesday 4 September 2024.
