A man will face court today charged following an alleged assault in the state's west.
About 8:45pm yesterday, (Sunday 10 March 2025), emergency services were called to Bedgerabong Road, Bedgerabong, about 36km west of Forbes, following reports of an assault.
On arrival, officers attached to Central West Police District found a 39-year-old woman with serious head injuries.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Parkes Police Station where he was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent (DV) and hinder / resist law enforcement officer in execution of duty.
He was refused bail and will appear before Parkes Local Court today, (Monday 10 March 2025).
