Man Charged in Southern Highlands Domestic Violence Case

A man will appear in court today after being charged following an alleged domestic violence incident in the Southern Highlands overnight.

About 12:55am today (Thursday 25 July 2024), emergency services were called to a home on Semkin Street, Moss Vale, following reports a woman had allegedly been assaulted.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and assessed a woman; she declined further treatment.

At 3am, officers attached to The Hume Police District attended a home on Yarrawa Street, Moss Vale, and arrested a 48-year-old man.

He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station and charged with intentionally choke etc person without consent (domestic violence) and common assault (domestic violence).

He was refused bail to appear before Picton Local Court today (Thursday 25 July 2024).
