Police have charged a man after two break and enter offences in Tumut that were committed late last year and early this year, NSW Police say.
On Monday 12 September 2016 and Sunday 9 January 2017 a business premises on Fitzroy Street was twice broken into.
A quantity of cash was taken from the premises on both occasions and police from Cootamundra Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
Although the quantity of cash taken was small, a large amount of damage was occasioned to the vending machines in the premises.
today, investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Quandong Street at Tumut where a number of items were seized for further forensic examination.
A quantity of cannabis was also seized from the premises.
A 44-year-old man was arrested at the location and conveyed to Tumut Police Station where he was later charged with break, enter and steal, six counts of larceny, and possess prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Tumut Local Court on Monday 13 February 2017.
