A man has been charged as investigations continue into the death of man at Roselands in February.
Emergency services were called to Leonard Reserve on Chapel Street, Roselands, shortly before 9.50pm on Thursday (23 February 2023), following reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended and found a 24-year-old man suffering stab wounds.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, died at the scene.
Campsie detectives - assisted by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad – established Strike Force Poton to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
As part of inquiries, on Wednesday 3 May 2023, investigators arrested and charged a 21-year-old man with affray and concealing a serious indictable offence. He remains before the Courts.
Following inquiries, about 9.45am today (Tuesday 27 June 2023), a 20-year-old man was arrested at Campsie Police Station, where he was charged with affray, conceal serious indictable offence and hindering an investigation.
He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Tuesday 27 June 2023), where he was granted conditional bail, to appear before the same Court on Wednesday 23 August 2023.
