A man has been charged after allegedly defacing a wall with Nazi symbols in Sydney's Eastern Beaches this afternoon.
About 4.30pm today (Friday 31 January 2025), officers from Strike Force Pearl proactive team were performing high-visibility patrols, when they saw a man allegedly defacing a wall with a marking pen in Anzac Parade, Kingsford.
Police stopped and arrested the man.
Police saw that the wall had been defaced with a number of drawings and writings, including a Nazi symbol and a swastika.
The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with knowingly display by public act Nazi symbol without excuse.
The 37-year-old man was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 1 February 2025).
