A 48-year-old Adelaide man has been charged with aggravated assault after police appealed for public help to identify a man linked to the assault of a taxi driver in the CBD, according to SA Police.
Police will allege that about 2.45am on 4 April a taxi driver was assaulted inside his vehicle by a man who got into the vehicle on Currie St.
The man was identified after police released CCTV images to the public earlier this week.
The accused has been granted bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date. He was also issued with a Transit Barring Order for three months preventing him from using taxis in metropolitan Adelaide.
