Police have charged a 42- year-old Ravenswood man with Attempted Armed Robbery following an incident in Kings Meadows on Tuesday 3 October.
About 4.00pm the man approached a member of the public demanding money and his phone and threatening them with a hammer before fleeing the scene.
The person was not injured during the attempted robbery but was shaken by the experience.
The Ravenswood man will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court 22 November 2023.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the man.
