A man has been charged with alleged drug and firearms offences on the states Mid North Coast.
About 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 March 2025), detectives attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended a home on Gore Street, Port Macquarie, following reports of drugs at the property.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized two Glock pistols, a paintball gun, and cannabis seeds.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the location and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged with eight offences:
- Three counts of possess unregistered firearm-pistol
- Two counts of possess prohibited drug
- Possess more than 3 unregistered firearms, 1 is prohibited/pistol
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
- Possess paintball marker outside authorised paintball venue
He was refused bail to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Thursday 6 March 2025).
