Man Charged With DV Offenses After Blue Mountains Operation

A man has been charged with domestic violence and prohibited weapon offences in the Blue Mountains.

About 5.30pm yesterday (Friday 30 August 2024), police were called to a home on Queen Elizabeth Drive, Wentworth Falls, following reports a 49-year-old man had allegedly pointed a crossbow at a man known to him.

Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

With assistance from PolAir and the Tactical Operations Unit, the 49-year-old was arrested about 10.10pm yesterday.

The man was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with possess prohibited weapon, armed with intent, and breach apprehended domestic violence order.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta bail court today (Saturday 31 August 2024).
