A man has been charged with high-range PCA following a crash in Orange this morning.
Just before 4am (Wednesday 1 January 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of Sieben Drive and Turner Crescent, Orange, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended and found a Ford Falcon had crashed into a tree.
The driver – a 24-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station where he underwent a secondary breath analysis, returning an alleged reading of 0.181.
The man – who was a P1 provisional licence holder – was charged with drive with high range PCA and granted conditional bail, to appear at Orange Local Court on Monday 13 January 2025.
The man sustained minor injuries in the crash which did not require medical attention.
