Police have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with a series of robberies that occurred at various locations on the Gold Coast and in Logan between September 20 and October 1, 2024.
Detectives from the Logan District have been investigating a number of armed robberies and unlawful entry at multiple petrol stations, convenience stores, and other businesses in areas including Underwood, Bannockburn, Holmview, Darra, Riverhills, Ormeau, Hillcrest, and Park Ridge.
Yesterday October 1, investigators attended an address in Logan where a man was arrested.
During a search of the residence, it is alleged stolen property, firearms, and ammunition were found. A search of a vehicle at the property located further items suspected of being stolen including cigarettes and jewellery.
Investigations also led police to a second Logan address where large quantities of stolen cigarettes and vapes were allegedly recovered.
An 18-year-old Crestmead man has been charged with five counts of armed robbery, two counts of attempted break and enter, five counts of break and enter, and two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles.
He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, October 2.
Investigations are continuing and police urge anyone with further information related to these incidents to come forward.
