Man Charged With Racial Vilification in Longreach

Detectives from the Longreach Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 34-year-old Longreach man, following an investigation into the alleged display of a flag featuring offensive racial vilification.

Police executed a search warrant at a Falcon Street address on February 4, seizing the flag.

As a result of the investigation, he has been charged with displaying a prohibited symbol.

The man was issued a notice to appear before Longreach Magistrates Court on March 19.
