Man Charged With Serious Domestic Violence in Blacktown

A man will face court charged with domestic violence offences following an alleged incident in the Sydney's west earlier this week.

About 2:50pm on Wednesday (28 August 2024), police were told a 40-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old woman at a shopping centre on the Prospect Highway, Seven Hills.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, the man was arrested about 3pm on the same day in Mount Street, Mount Druitt.

During a search of his vehicle, police allegedly found a shortened loaded shotgun, ammunition and knuckle dusters.

The man was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with serious DV Assault and Firearm offences.

The man was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today, Friday 30 August 2024.
