Man critically injured after crash at Penrith

Police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash at Penrith this afternoon.

About 4.30pm today (Friday 17 September 2021), emergency services were called to Hemming Street at Penrith, following reports a motorcycle and a Mazda 2 had collided.

The 23-year-old male motorcycle rider was conveyed to Nepean Hospital with critical injuries.

The 56-year-old female driver was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing. She is currently assisting police with inquiries.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, anyone with dashcam footage from the area is urged to come forward.
