Man Dies After Being Struck By Car - Hornsby

A pedestrian has died following a crash in Sydney's north earlier this week.

About 10.30am on Monday 6 January 2025, emergency services were called to Sherbrook Avenue, Hornsby, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an 87-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle – a 34-year-old man – was uninjured.

Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Police have been informed that the man died in hospital earlier today (Wednesday 8 January 2025).

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
