Man dies after crash at Boorowa

A man has died in a car crash in the state's south west.

Shortly after 9pm yesterday (Thursday 12 March 2020) emergency services were called to the Lachlan Valley Way, Boorowa, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

The green Holden station wagon was believed to be travelling in a northerly direction when it left the road and collided with a tree.

Three off duty doctors attended and treated the man at the scene, but he died a short time later.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 49-year-old man and the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
