Man dies after crash in south-west NSW

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash almost 100km west of Balranald in the state's south-west.

Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, 15km west of Euston, about 3pm yesterday (Saturday 19 October 2019), after a Daewoo wagon travelling east and a Nissan dual-cab utility travelling west collided in the westbound lanes.

The driver of the wagon, a 60-year-old man from Robinvale in Victoria, died at the scene.

A family travelling in the ute – a 39-year-old man, his 35-year-old wife and their two children aged eight and five from Towrang – were taken to Mildura Base Hospital to be checked as a precaution.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
