Man dies after fall from scooter at Wilton

A man has died after falling from an electric scooter at Wilton in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Police have been told the 44-year-old man was riding the scooter along Ingleton Circuit about 10.55pm (Saturday 18 February 2023), when it clipped the gutter and he was thrown to the ground.

The man suffered a serious head injury, with friends and family conducting CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and took him to Campbelltown Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police were contacted about 6.30am (Sunday 19 February 2023), and told the man had died.

An investigation is now underway into the circumstances of the crash and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner. Police have been told the man was not wearing a helmet.
