Sadly police can confirm a man has died following a house fire in Goulburn Street, Hobart earlier this month.
Police, Tasmania Fire Service crews and other emergency services were called to the scene about 10:45am on Sunday, 2 June.
A 64-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has since died.
While firefighters managed to contain the fire, a residential unit within the building was fully destroyed.
Our thoughts are with the man's family and loved ones and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
At this stage the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
