Man dies after motorcycle accident - Orana/Mid-Western PD

A motorcyclist has died in hospital after coming off his bike east of Mudgee.

About 3pm (Saturday 16 November 2019), the 72-year-old man and his motorcycle were located off the roadway on Bylong Valley Way, Growee.

The man had come off his bike and collided with boulders.

He had suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital, where he died shortly after 6pm.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District are investigating the incident.

Investigators are particularly interested in speaking to approximately five unknown motorcyclists who were in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
