Police are investigating a fatal light plane crash near Deniliquin, NSW this morning.
Just after 11am Wednesday, emergency services were called to a property off Wanganella Moulamein Road, Wanganella, about 40km north of Deniliquin, following reports of a light plane crash, NSW police said.
On arrival, officers attached to Deniliquin Local Area Command and Ambulance Paramedics located the body of a man, who was the only occupant of the plane.
Local police, with the assistance of the Forensic Services Group, are conducting investigations and have notified the Air Traffic Safety Bureau.
