Man dies after single-vehicle crash - Riverina

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's Riverina region.

About 5.35am today (Friday 23 December 2022), emergency services were called to Four Corners Road, Rand – about 70km north of Albury – following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Murray River Police District found a silver sedan had allegedly left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car, a 56-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene was established, which is being examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
