Man Dies After Ute Hits Gum Tree West Of Forbes

A man has died after his ute hit a tree 80km west of Forbes overnight.

Emergency services were called to Burcher Road, Burcher, shortly before 6am (Saturday 1 November 2025), when a passing motorist saw the ute had left the road and struck a large gum tree.

The driver, believed to be a 56-year-old local man, had died at the scene.

Officers from Central West Police District have been told the man was last seen driving out of Burcher about midnight.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
