A man has died from injuries sustained during bushfires in the state's north-east in November last year.
On Thursday 7 November 2019, the Stockyard Flat Fire was impacting properties on Blomfields Road and Kangaroo Flat Road, Yarrowitch, about 70km south-east of Walcha.
Police believe the 59-year-old man suffered serious burns after taking shelter in a water tank on a property at Blomfields Road.
He was found later that day by a National Parks and Wildlife Service employee and airlifted to Port Macquarie Hospital, before being transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.
Police have been advised the man died on Sunday 29 December 2019.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
