A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's south.
Just before 7am today (Sunday 30 May 2021), emergency services were called to Tumbarumba Road, Carabost, about 35km north west of Tumbarumba, following reports a vehicle was found crashed into a tree on the side of the road.
The male driver and sole occupant died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Officers from Murray River Police District attended and established a crime scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
