A man has died in hospital following a pedestrian crash in Sydney's south west.
About 12.40am on Friday (28 May 2021), emergency services attended the Old Hume Highway, Camden, after reports a man had been struck by a vehicle.
A 21-year-old man was found suffering serious head injuries and suspected leg fractures. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics in a critical condition.
The driver of a Holden Commodore, aged 17, was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing before being returned to Narellan Police Station.
He was later released pending further inquiries.
A crime scene was established by officers from Camden Police Area Command and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
Police were notified the man died in hospital yesterday afternoon (Saturday 29 May 2021).
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
