A man has died after his vehicle was struck by a train at a level crossing north of Narrabri.
About 8.40am (Sunday 26 May 2019), emergency services were called to Millie Road, Bellata, after a southbound XPT struck a Holden Rodeo at the crossing,
The 64-year-old male driver of the utility died at the scene.
There were no injuries reported on the train, which was carrying 18 passengers and three crew. The passengers continued their journey by bus while the train was forensically examined.
Officers from Oxley Police District will prepare a report for the Coroner.
