Man Dies In Single-vehicle Crash At Merimbula

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash on the state's South Coast.

About 1.45pm today (Wednesday 9 October 2024) emergency services were called to Mount Darragh Road at Wyndham, about 30 kilometres west of Merimbula, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended the scene and found a BMW convertible had left the roadway and struck a group of large trees.

First responders attended but were unable to revive the driver, a man believed to be aged in his 40s.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
